The kids were amazed and a little "grossed out" at the pollutants that flowed into the nearby waterway when a "rainstorm" came.

The class discusses various pollutants that people might put into their environment. The Enviroscape model helped them to see farms, factories, construction sites, residential sites, and a golf course and how things we put on the ground might end up in our waterways.

Here's Bill with a bottle full of water that he took from a little pool he found on Fox Glacier. Many of us filled our water bottles with the water to see if the rumors were true about the great, pure taste of glacial water.
